Illuminus is a psychedelic world music group consisting of 2 members: Dennis Tapper and Magnus Holte. Dennis is also better known as Hux-Flux, and Magnus as a former member of Ibojima. Both have numerous hits in the trance scene behind them. Illuminus uses a lot of live instruments like flute, accoustic/electric guitar and mouth harp.

Brian Deady is a Cork based vocalist/composer who is showing great promise and already after being noted as “one to watch for in ’09 “by The Irish Times. His own mix of soul/pop/disco/funk/a cappella commutes between influences like Steely Dan, Kool and the Gang, and Marvin Gaye and more contemporary artists such as Erykah Badu, Outkast and Amp Fiddler.

His first single ‘Any Ol’ Ting’ caused quite a buzz on the airways and was nominated Red Fm ‘single of the week ‘ in summer ’08, while his video was screened at the Cork Film Fest ’08 and recently crossed the waters to the Chicago Irish Film Fest ’09 .

About Jon Hopkins:

Jon Hopkins is a British musician who writes and performs his own music, melody-led electronica. He was born and brought up in London and started playing the piano when he was five. By the age of twelve he was studying piano at London’s Royal College of Music.
He has worked with Coldplay, Imogen Heap, King Creosote, Massive Attack, Chris Coco and Brian Eno, amongst many others.
His debut album Opalescent is on Just Music’s Absolute Zero imprint. Hopkins’ second album Contact Note was released on Absolute Zero through Just Music in August 2004.
In April 2008, the independent web label Sounds Asleep released “The Fourth State”, a single 32 minute long track of “pure ambient” music recorded by Hopkins in 2004.
Hopkins’s third album, Insides, was released by Just Music in conjunction with Domino Records on May 5, 2009.
